President Ozturk: ‘We have not forgotten and will not forget the despicable attack’

The President of Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO), Selçuk Öztürk, released a message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. President of KTO, Selçuk Öztürk, stated that on July 15, 2016, they all witnessed an attack on the nation and the bombing of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey by FETÖ member terrorists, which was part of an attempt to overthrow Turkey’s democracy and future. Our nation, which has sacrificed itself for its homeland and state for a thousand years on these lands, walked towards death without hesitation that day and prevented this invasion. We wrote an epic with the resolute stance of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our Grand National Assembly, our civil society organizations, and all our nation. Turkey, on the night of July 15, 2016, showed that it will never accept an administration that does not derive its power from the ballot box and its authority from the people, and will not submit to an option outside of democracy and the will of the people. Today, our duty is to work together for the future of our country without forgetting the treacherous coup attempt. As a representative of the business world, we continue to work with the same spirit and belief. We will continue to progress towards Turkey’s goal of becoming one of the world’s largest economies. The lessons we have learned from every difficulty we have faced will guide us towards our ideal of a stronger Turkey. On the anniversary of July 15, I pray for the martyrs who sacrificed themselves for their homeland during the coup attempt, and express my heartfelt gratitude to our nation, which has shown unity in all circumstances to the whole world.
