President of KSO, Buyukegen: ‘We produce with the spirit of July 15, empowering the future of Turkey’

Mustafa Buyukegen, the President of Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO), has issued a message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Emphasizing the historic resistance of the Turkish nation against the traitors on the night of July 15, 2016 and thereafter, President Buyukegen said, ‘I remember our July 15 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland with mercy and our veterans with gratitude.’ Buyukegen, stating that 8 years have passed since the coup attempt by the treacherous FETO terrorist organization and its collaborators, expressed that they never forget what happened and will not let it be forgotten. In his message, he stated the following: ‘Our noble nation demonstrated a historic resistance in unity and solidarity against the betrayal of July 15. That night, our nation once again declared its belief in democracy and love for the country to the whole world. As Konya industrialists, we are working with all our might, producing, and exporting to increase the welfare of our country entrusted to us by our martyrs, and to carry our country to the future with stronger steps. Since the FETO treacherous coup attempt on July 15, 2016, we have increased our exports nearly 2.5 times in the last 8 years in Konya, from 1 billion 333 million dollars to a record-breaking 3 billion 305 million dollars of the Republican era. During this period, we have succeeded in being among the top 10 provinces with the highest exports in Turkey. Regardless of the conditions, we will continue to production, export, and employment to perpetuate the memories of our martyrs who entrusted us with this esteemed homeland, to sustain our economic development, and to further increase our competitiveness. On this occasion, I once again commemorate our July 15 martyrs, as well as all our martyrs and veterans, with mercy and gratitude, and I congratulate our nation on July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
