Museum founder and painter Koçan gave advice to a talented 10-year-old child in painting.

Founder of the Baksı Museum, Prof. Dr. Hüsamettin Koçan, met with Aziz Mahmut Hüdai Demirhan, who has been in the news for his painting talent with the headline ‘A small talent at the age of 10 mesmerizes with his paintings’ on the İhlas News Agency. During the meeting, which was attended by Bayburt Journalists Association President Murat Okutmuş, Koçan examined the paintings drawn by 10-year-old Aziz Mahmut Hüdai Demirhan and advised that he should draw more pictures suitable for his own story. Koçan mentioned that Hüdai is influenced by the internet and draws many of his paintings based on what he sees there. He stated, ‘However, some paintings reveal themselves. Yes, these paintings highlight the child’s imagination and talent. He should continue like this. He should draw his mother, father, village, the environment he lives in, or snippets of his life.’ Koçan pointed out that Demirhan has a special side and that what happens around him may seem ordinary to him. He said, ‘This situation shows that he is very intelligent. If talent is guided correctly, it will bring out right and beautiful things.’ Advising the mother Esra Demirhan, who said that her son is introverted and does not go out of the house, Prof. Koçan said, ‘I say again that ordinariness can be suffocating, but a 10-year-old child should spend plenty of time with friends. Let him play, compete, argue, make peace with his friends.’ Providing recommendations to the family, Prof. Koçan mentioned that he will follow Hüdai’s drawings, gift him source books, and host him at the first event to be held at the Baksı Museum. Giving contact information to the mother, Prof. Dr. Hüsamettin Koçan expressed his desire to see all the drawings made by Hüdai. Mother Esra Demirhan also thanked Koçan for taking the time and expressed her gratitude by saying that her son Aziz Mahmut Hüdai can develop his painting talent with Koçan’s guidance.
