Governor Coşkun’s message for July 15th

The Governor of Denizli, Omer Faruk Coskun, issued a message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Governor Coskun stated, ‘Throughout history, our noble nation, which has fought for independence and future many times, has signed many glorious victories and epic heroism stories. Our nation, which has paid great prices for this cause, has always protected the sacred homeland it deems holy at the cost of its own life, never living under captivity.’ Governor Coskun continued his message by saying, ‘On July 15, 2016, against the despicable coup attempt of the FETO/PDY terrorist organization, our noble nation, men and women, old and young, put their lives on the line, displaying a heroic resurrection by standing firm against the treacherous attack on its own will and freedom. The coup attempt on July 15 targeted the existence of our state, the unity and integrity of our country, and the sovereignty of our nation, but thanks to the resolute stance and honorable resistance of our heroic nation under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, this treacherous attempt was thwarted. Our noble nation, who has sworn to live independently under the shadow of our crescent-star flag forever, has never hesitated to sacrifice itself for independence and future, just as we came together with unwavering determination against those who tried to disrupt our unity and solidarity from within and outside on the night of July 15, we will continue to demonstrate the same consciousness and determination to exhibit our national stance in the future. Our nation will always show its resolute stance for the sake of the homeland, nation, and sanctity and will exert all its power for the survival of our country, the peace and tranquility of our nation.’ Governor Coskun, recalling the great heroism shown on the night of July 15, said, ‘Our state institutions, with the prayers and support of our noble nation, will never compromise on the struggle against all treacherous elements targeting the unity and solidarity of our country, peace, and the survival of our state. The great heroism epic displayed by our nation on the night of July 15 will never be forgotten.’ Ending his words in the message, Governor Coskun stated, ‘With these feelings and thoughts; I remember our noble martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the indivisible integrity of our country, the independence of our homeland, the unity and solidarity of our nation, and the survival of our state with mercy, and I salute our veterans with gratitude; I respectfully greet our noble nation and fellow Denizli residents who stand up for national will and democracy.’
