The Governor of Kars provided guidance to tourists.

While Kars has been attracting intense interest from both domestic and foreign tourists in recent days, Governor Ziya Polat explained Kars to the tourists by providing guidance in the city. Kars, one of Turkey’s most important tourism centers, attracts domestic and foreign tourists throughout the year. With potentials such as Ani Ruins Site, Sarıkamış, Kars Castle, and Çıldır Lake listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Kars has been inundated with tourists. Governor of Kars Ziya Polat chatted with tourists he encountered in the Bedesten area. Providing information about the places that should be seen and visited in the city, Polat emphasized that Kars adorns a separate beauty in all four seasons, suggesting that tourists should revisit Kars especially in summer and winter. Polat thanked the tourists for choosing the city of Gazi Kars, the Pearl of the East, a city of history, culture, and firsts, and wished them a pleasant holiday. Tourists expressing that ‘Kars is very beautiful, your governor is a cultural ambassador’ stated that ‘Kars is really beautiful, it needs to be explored and seen. You have a very good governor. He is friendly, loves Kars. He is like a cultural ambassador for Kars; he told us about Kars, guided us. You are very lucky to have such a governor, we listened to him. We will visit the places he recommended. We thank him especially for his interest in us.’ Governor Ziya Polat also took a souvenir photo with the tourists in the Bedesten area.
