The first public meetings in Sındırgı took place in the neighborhood of Gölcük.

Sındırgı Mayor Serkan Sak started the public meetings he organized in order to solve the problems in the district through common sense and to listen to the demands of the citizens at the right place, starting from Gölcük Rural Neighborhood. Mayor Serkan Sak, who attracted attention with the administrative changes and actions he made after taking office, visited Gölcük Neighborhood with unit managers and council members as part of the Public Meeting. President Sak, who was welcomed with great interest and love, listened to the requests and suggestions of the citizens and provided information about the ongoing projects and works planned to be done. We Will Solve Accumulated Problems Together. Stating that they have put the Solution Desk into operation to solve the demands and suggestions of the citizens in the fastest way and that they have fulfilled 2,122 out of 2,430 requests in a 3-month period, Mayor Sak said, ‘I request our citizens to actively use the Solution Desk. Let’s record the specified problems, solve them together as quickly as possible. There were accumulated problems waiting for solutions; we started working tirelessly for the happiness of our citizens. All our directors work diligently like the mayor. We know the promises we made in Gölcük; we have started, there is much more work to be done. We came to chat with you, listen to your requests, views, and suggestions.’ We strive to solve with limited budget equally and fairly. Mayor Sak stated that they quickly put savings measures into effect and said that they became the municipality that paid off its debt fastest in Balıkesir by paying off 22 million debts in 3 months. Market research and savings are prioritized in all directorates to prevent waste. Mayor Sak, stating that they have adopted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s words ‘The one who loves his country the most is the one who does his job best’ as a principle, said, ‘We work in harmony with our metropolitan city, we do not stop to keep our promises, to eliminate problems. We will asphalt our road between Eşmedere – Gölcük as soon as possible. Our construction machines carry out leveling work on our plain roads. We will continue our work in necessary areas and complete them as soon as possible. I have passed through these roads many times before becoming the mayor, I have experienced many problems. I know your problems. Money comes to our municipality on behalf of all our citizens. We are here to distribute your money equally, to serve and solve problems. The position we are in is not the goal, it is the means. We are in a position to serve you. We do not promise something we cannot do, and when we promise, we stand behind it all the way.’ It was stated that a General Assembly Meeting will be held at the City Council in a short time, and activities that will directly affect the citizens, such as the establishment of women, retirees, disabled, and children’s councils, will be carried out. In the meeting where unit managers introduced their fields of activity and themselves, Gölcük Neighborhood residents also expressed their demands and suggestions. They expressed their satisfaction with the visit. Mayor Serkan Sak was accompanied by CHP District President Ahmet Algın, Deputy Mayors Ismail Sönmez, Muhammet Şahin, Gölcük Neighborhood Headman Emin Bardak, council members, and unit managers at the public meetings.
