The 50th graduation ceremony was held by Erciyes University (ERU) Faculty of Medicine. Within the program, 298 students graduated. The graduation ceremony held at Erciyes Cultural Center was attended by Kayseri Governor Gokmen Cicek, 12th Air Transportation Main Base Commander Brig. Gen. Hasan Volkan Guleryuz, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Deputy Governor Dr. Abdullah Kalkan, Kayseri Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Hakan Dedebag, Provincial Police Chief Atanur Aydin, Mayor of Kocasinan Ahmet Colakbayrakdar, Mayor of Talas Mustafa Yalcin, Mayor of Develi Adem Sengul, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozkan and M. Hakan Poyrazoglu, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Cemal Alper Kemaloglu, Dean of Kayseri University of Health Sciences Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Ilhami Celik, Provincial Health Director Dr. Mehmet Ersan, Chief Physician of ERU Hospitals Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Halil Kafadar, President of the Medical Chamber Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ilhan Sahin, as well as faculty members and students. The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the national anthem, followed by a mini concert performed by a choir consisting of faculty members and students of the medical faculty. Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, Kayseri Governor Gokmen Cicek stated that Erciyes University is a source of pride and that being a graduate of Erciyes University is a privilege. Governor Gokmen Cicek congratulated the students, emphasizing the high regard of the nation towards doctors and urging them to love the people they will serve. Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun also congratulated the families of the graduating doctors, acknowledging the pride they must feel. He highlighted the importance of loving humanity for the success in their profession and encouraged continuous self-improvement. Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Cemal Alper Kemaloglu addressed the graduating doctors, emphasizing the shared responsibility of upholding professional honor and the opportunity to serve the country either as academics or specialists. He encouraged them to pursue further education abroad if desired. President of the Medical Chamber Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ilhan Sahin emphasized the significant responsibility that comes with the medical profession and the duty towards family, city, country, and humanity. Following the speeches, the medical students took the Hippocratic Oath administered by Prof. Dr. Rahmi Kemal Koc, a faculty member. The ceremony concluded with a speech by Dr. Muhammed Emin Karaca on behalf of the new graduates, the placing of a plaque in the graduation registry, and the distribution of diplomas to the graduating doctors.
