Elazığspor Spokesperson Hasan Uygur, Football Branch Responsible Eyyüp Yıldırım, and Sporting Director Mehmet Deliorman made statements regarding the developments on the agenda and provided information about transfers.
Elazığspor, which will compete in the 2nd League Red Group in the 2024-2025 Season and will start its first stage camp works in Elazığ on July 17, announced the works to the public through a press conference. In the press conference held at the Elazığspor Facilities, Spokesperson Hasan Uygur, Football Branch Responsible Eyyüp Yıldırım, and Sporting Director Mehmet Deliorman provided information about transfer works, sponsorships, and season ticket works.
Uygur: “Preparations will start on July 17”
Speaking first at the press conference, Elazığspor Spokesperson Hasan Uygur said, “We will start the new season preparations in our city on July 17. Before the new season, we had meetings with the players we wanted to stay in the squad according to the discussions with our coach. As a result of these discussions, we reached an agreement with Beykan, Mikail, Hasan, and Yağızcan. Players such as Çağrı Yağız, Mehmet Eksik, and Metin, who our coach wanted to stay in the team, did not accept the offers we made and left. We thank them for their services to our club and wish them success in their new teams.”
“We will definitely open the transfer window”
Uygur, stating that the transfer window is currently closed, said, “Our club’s transfer window is closed. We are continuing our negotiations to open the window. Let me express this clearly, we will open the window. When we took office, there were 79 files that caused the transfer ban of this club. Today, there are only 4 files left. However, new files are coming in. We have taken the necessary measures for all of these and finalized our necessary negotiations. There are 6-7 players in transfer negotiations. Agreements have been reached with these players. Efforts are being made to resolve issues with their clubs. We will form a competitive and ambitious team and we will make the necessary effort for the success of Elazığspor in the new season.”
Yıldırım: “We have reached agreements with 5-6 players”
Elazığspor Football Branch Responsible Eyyüp Yıldırım stated, “We are striving to bring this club to where it deserves. We have been serving in this club for 3 years. As the management, we aim to both protect this club economically and to aim for the best place as a team. I want to say this clearly here. No one should be pessimistic. Our guard should not drop. There are many players, and like other teams, we know how to buy players with high costs. However, this would bring our club new troubles. We are avoiding this. However, we are working to transfer players who will both lead this club to success with their football and not disrupt the balances set by our management economically. We have reached agreements with 5-6 players. We are waiting to resolve the issues with their clubs. Our first stage preparation camp will start in our city on July 17. Before this camp, we will sign contracts with 3-4 players. Our second stage preparation camp for the new season will start in Erzurum on August 1 and will last for 15 days. We have a transfer policy as Elazığspor and we are directing our work in line with this policy. Our transfers will be made on time and the players will contribute to the success of this team. There will be 6 young players in the 25-player list we will submit to the TFF before the new season.”
Deliorman: “Misinformation affects the works”
Elazığspor Sporting Director Mehmet Deliorman stated that misinformation, especially in transfer works, affects their work and said, “We specifically ask for support from our press on this issue. Misinformation puts us in a difficult situation. If unity is achieved, our work will be facilitated. The players we are interested in are asking for a lot of money. When we achieve unity on this matter, the numbers will decrease. Last year, we had delays in transfers at the beginning of the season. However, we later formed our squad and achieved success. This season, we will add players to our squad that will lead us to success. We are in talks with players within the framework of the planning we made with our head coach. We do not want to make mistakes. When you look, except for a few clubs, every club has problems before the new season. I want to say to our fans, you achieve success with the squad you want. We are constantly on the move to ensure this. Our club has a balance and we are forming a player group that will comply with this balance and will not disrupt our balance in terms of finance.”
