After the protocol signed between Şişli Municipality and Perpa Trade Center, a ‘Employment and Development Center’ was opened with the aim of increasing economic potential and employment capacity. The Perpa Employment and Development Center, established with the goal of strengthening economic potential and providing employment for at least 10,000 people annually, has opened its doors. The protocol regarding the project implemented between Şişli Municipality and Perpa Trade Center was signed at a ceremony held at Perpa Conference Hall. The ceremony was attended by Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, Perpa Trade Center Block A President Hasan Sezgin, Block B President Atakan Yücel, Şişli Municipal Council Members, Perpa executives, and tradesmen. İBB and Şişli Municipal Council Member Oğuz Demir made a presentation at the opening program.
“It is a process that we will lift together, that we will carry out with solidarity together”. Speaking at the program, Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan stated, “In the heart of Şişli, we realized that we lacked projects that would bring the city with such high potential together with real daily issues and problems and would leap this into a value-added economy. In fact, this project is the nucleus, the beginning of this. It is a process that we will lift together, that we will carry out with solidarity together. Because Turkey has been run for a long time with a concrete economy. We must get out of the economic crisis caused by a political power that betrayed Turkey and Istanbul with the construction economy. This will only be possible by bringing together the real potentials of this city, its youth, academia, businessmen, and SMEs, and by speaking a real political word. In fact, we consider it as a significant responsibility of this pilot project. Our main responsibility, our main goal is to bring together young unemployed friends, unemployed individuals in Şişli who can add value here, with 5,000 businesses, 5,000 potential SMEs, and 5,000 potential trade units. Therefore, I have no doubt that this project will reach its goal with the right strategy and the right partnerships both at the Şişli scale and at the macro level in Turkey, and I am very hopeful, very optimistic that it will be a very exemplary pilot project. We will do our best for this”.
“Our goal is to employ 10,000 young people in 1 year”. Şahan, who stated that they aim to employ 10,000 young people within 1 year, said, “The value of the sentence we will establish here is related to employment, economic policies, and the value of a potential in the center of the city in this environment of multiple crises. So, I don’t want this to be perceived as a simple employment, cooperation partnership established between Perpa and Şişli Municipality. Its value is much higher. In that sense, I would like to thank the Perpa management, two block presidents, Hasan president, who guided us in this project, who opened the way for sincere dedication and cooperation. It is a process that we will experience, learn together. Hopefully, we will meet in a meeting where we present the results of this Employment and Development Center a year later and provide numbers. We will say; we found jobs for nearly 10,000 young people with the potential here. We have brought some businesses, their potentials to both national and international city scales. We have been a mediator in explaining them. We introduced Perpa in some international projects. Hopefully, we will tell these stories. This is our goal. Thank you very much”.
