President Çolakbayrakdar: ‘We are shedding light on the future of our children’

Since 2021, a total of 8,909 people have benefited from the appointment system in the Play Therapy Course, which is the only one in Kayseri and has been offered at the Children’s Club of Kocasinan Municipality. Emphasizing that they contribute to the healthy and well-equipped upbringing of children and young people for the future of Kayseri, Kocasinan Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar stated that they are involved in all areas of life with different projects and applications. Mayor Çolakbayrakdar, who says, ‘Each of our children, who are the guarantee of our future, is a separate value and richness for us,’ highlighted that they have implemented important services and projects for the children living in the district and that they practice positive discrimination for children. Mayor Çolakbayrakdar pointed out that as Kocasinan Municipality, they produce services with a ‘human-focused’ municipal understanding, stating, ‘First and foremost, the center of this focus is our children and young people. All of our efforts are for our children, the guarantee of our future. Especially in addition to routine municipal activities, we are involved in all areas of life with different projects and applications. At this point, we invest in the future of our children. We are building modern social facilities for our children to receive better education and engage in sports activities. With Kocasinan Academy, one of these facilities, we try to serve in different areas from manual skills to cultural activities, from artistic activities to other areas. We work and prepare for the future to open up a different horizon for our children and young people with our Children’s Club and Youth Center. We have implemented many projects for the emergence of more equipped generations and continue to increase our efforts. All our efforts are to make our children smile and make the lives of my fellow citizens easier. We will continue to work with all our might for them to be peaceful and happy in the future.’ Furthermore, at the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Service of Kocasinan Municipality Children’s Club, three psychological counselors provide play therapy and individual psychological counseling services to children aged 3-14. Children show great interest in the education that enables them to express themselves and learn their feelings in the play therapy room, where each toy carries a different meaning, provided with the appointment system. In the play therapy education, where topics are explained in a fun way, children who are knowledgeable about the subjects both have fun and express themselves better.
