Governor of Diyarbakır, Murat Zorluoğlu, has taken office.

With the recent Governor’s Decree, Murat Zorluğlu, who was appointed from the Governorship Inspectorate to the Diyarbakır Governorship, started his new duty after the welcoming ceremony held in front of the Yenişehir Governorship Office. Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu officially started his duty today by coming to the governorship building. Governor Zorluoğlu, who saluted the ceremony squad, accepted congratulations from the attendees.
Governor Zorluoğlu, after signing the Governorship Honor Book, made statements to the press. In his statement, Governor Zorluoğlu expressed his honor and happiness for being appointed as the governor of Diyarbakır, a city with a history of thousands of years that has hosted 33 different civilizations and numerous cultures. He thanked the Minister of Interior Affairs Ali Yerlikaya and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for entrusting him with this esteemed duty.
Governor Zorluoğlu emphasized his commitment to being a governor profile that is more present in the field and among the citizens, stating that they will strive to be more together with families of martyrs and veterans, needy citizens, orphans, helpless women, disabled citizens, and elderly people who need more of the state’s support and compassion.
He also mentioned that they will work intensively to prepare and implement new projects that will facilitate the lives of the people. Governor Zorluoğlu highlighted various ongoing projects such as the Silvan Dam Project, restoration of the famous Diyarbakır walls, restoration of 327 Diyarbakır Mansions, urban transformation applications, Northern Ring Road, City Hospital, infrastructure of industrial zones, and general strengthening of transportation infrastructure.
Furthermore, he stated that they will be involved in a wide range of activities from education to health, security and public order, social assistance and support, creating new employment areas, agricultural and industrial services, economic growth, youth services and sports, environmental protection and sustainable development, and transportation infrastructure to facilitate the lives of the people.
Finally, Governor Zorluoğlu expressed his condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives in the recent fire in Diyarbakır and Mardin, emphasizing the collaboration needed with various institutions and organizations to make Diyarbakır a more livable and prominent city. He concluded by sending his respects and regards to the people of Diyarbakır.
