Bitlis Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate will teach swimming to 600 students within the scope of ‘Summer Sports Schools Course’. Young people and children participating in the swimming courses opened by the Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate receive training under the supervision of experienced coaches and lifeguards. Swimming courses are provided on weekdays in the semi-Olympic swimming pool located in the sports hall belonging to the Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate. After the education of the children participating in the courses is divided according to age categories, each child will mandatorily attend the swimming course two days a week. Emre Can Zorlu, who serves as a swimming coach within the Bitlis Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate, stated, ‘Our trainings, which started in July within the scope of summer sports schools, consist of two processes and will end on August 31. We teach approximately 600 students first the techniques of getting used to water and standing on water. We provide training for staying in the water according to age groups between 4-18 and the educational status of each student. In this regard, our children are obliged to come at least for two days.’ Zorlu, stating that the training is provided by 6 instructors and 3 lifeguards, said, ‘Our lifeguards always stand by the pool and students, ensuring the safety of the children. Our trainings continue without any interruption in this way. Our facility has been serving for a long time and is a facility designed for children. The general pools are cleaned at least twice a week. Both our children and parents should not have doubts about cleanliness. We are already taking necessary precautions. As we said, our children are safe, and we continue our training in this way.
