DENIZLI (IHA) – Mayor of Cameli, Cengiz Arslan, hosted a delegation from brother country Azerbaijan in the district. The guest delegation, who learned how to make pottery in Cameli, experienced emotional moments at the Turkish night organized for them. Azerbaijani delegation, consisting of Ramil Hasanzade, the Responsible Employee of Bilesuvar District Executive Authority in Azerbaijan, Aqshin Bagirov, the Director of Mubariz Ibrahimov Education Complex built in the name of Azerbaijani national hero Mubariz Ibrahimov, teachers, and students, visited Mayor Cengiz Arslan in his office. During the meeting held in a sincere atmosphere, Mayor Cengiz Arslan answered the questions asked by the students and presented gifts to the guests from the Azerbaijani delegation. Following the meeting and conversation held at the municipal conference hall, Mayor Cengiz Arslan and the Azerbaijani delegation planted memorial trees at Sehit Er Ali Akyol Park. A chess tournament organized at Hayri Dev Cultural Center was conducted with participation from Azerbaijani students, athletes from Denizli, and participants from Cameli, in a spirit of friendship, brotherhood, and unity. After the tournament, a visit to Cameli City Museum was followed by a pottery workshop and pottery making activity at the Pottery Atelier. Turkish night at the Stone Mansions The Azerbaijani delegation hosted in Cameli had an unforgettable Turkish night at the Stone Mansions in Cameli. Director of the Education Complex, Aqshin Bagirov, made an emotional speech about Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood. The event featured performances by local artists Alper Cagdas and Muhammet Koc, as well as Zeki Akyol and Eser Erten showcasing traditional Masit Girigi and Zeybek dances. Guest artist Elizade Nihat played Azerbaijani tar and performed regional folk songs like ‘Cirpinirdi Karadeniz’. The program offered both entertaining and emotional moments, showcasing the Azerbaijan-Turkey brotherhood once again.
