Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEU) continues to expand its cooperation network through Erasmus+ Higher Education Mobility Program with 234 universities in 21 countries from Europe and different regions of the world as part of its evolving internationalization strategies. Coordinated by the Turkish National Agency, the grant amounts were announced within the scope of the ‘Erasmus+ KA131 Higher Education Mobility Program,’ which offers opportunities for student and staff mobility by collaborating with universities in program countries. Within the program that enables global student and staff exchange, BEU continues to take significant steps towards its internationalization goals with 234 Erasmus+ agreements signed with universities in 21 European countries. BEU has increased the number of partner countries to 21 and the Erasmus KA131 grant amount to 204,800 Euros by the year 2024. Thus, with these grant amounts provided by the Turkish National Agency, it is envisaged that 87 student and staff mobilities will be realized within the scope of the 2024 projects at BEU, which has an academic cooperation network with countries across several continents, primarily in Europe. Highlighting the importance of Erasmus+ mobility projects in the internationalization process, BEU Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated, ‘We continue our efforts to enhance the quality of education, teaching, research, and development activities carried out within the scope of internationalization, which is among the top priorities of our university. In this context, our agreement count has reached 234 within the Erasmus+ KA131 mobility activities focused on student, academic, and administrative staff mobility. Of course, we aim to increase this number even further. With the Erasmus+ KA171 program, we are also enhancing our bilateral cooperation network with countries outside of Europe day by day. I would like to express my gratitude to the President of the Turkish National Agency, Mr. İlker Astarcı, for their valuable support to our internationalization processes. I extend my thanks to the President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and the members of YÖK for their support in achieving our internationalization goals.’
