The topic of ‘Smart Technologies and Changing World Dynamics’ will be discussed at BAU.

The 11th International Congress on Accounting and Finance Research, with the theme ‘Smart Technologies and Changing World Dynamics,’ hosted by Bartın University (BARÜ), will be supported by TÜBİTAK. Bartın University’s application to the 2223/B-Domestic Scientific Events Organization Support Program, conducted by TÜBİTAK Science Fellowships and Grant Programmes Directorate (BİDEB), has been accepted. BİDEB, which supports events held domestically to bring together scientists working in different institutions for knowledge and experience sharing and to pave the way for interdisciplinary studies, approved and included in the support scope the application of the Department of Business Administration of BARÜ Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Thus, the ‘International Congress on Accounting and Finance Research’ (ICAFR), which has been organized at various universities in Turkey since 2013, will be hosted by the Department of Business Administration of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at BARÜ this year on 27-29 September 2024. Providing information about the congress, Prof. Dr. Metin Saban, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at BARÜ, stated, ‘The 11th International Congress on Accounting and Finance Research (ICAFR’24) will be held under the main theme of ‘Smart Technologies and Changing World Dynamics,’ taking into account recent developments closely affecting the disciplines of accounting and finance. With ICAFR’24, which has an international character, we aim to create a scientific platform where participants from the disciplines of accounting and finance can share their knowledge, expertise, and experiences, and bring together expert scientists from different universities. I would like to express my gratitude to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun, for supporting us and empowering us in this important event we will host. I also thank all our components for their contributions on this journey we embarked on with the understanding of ‘Achieving Together.” Expressing his pleasure at the fact that the congress in the field of accounting and finance will be hosted by BARÜ, Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun, the Rector, said, ‘This year, Bartın University will host the scientific congress that is held each year under the auspices of a different university. We will host various scientists from different universities by addressing accounting and finance, a strategic sector that directly affects our country’s economy, under the main title of ‘Smart Technologies and Changing World Dynamics.’ I thank all our components, especially Prof. Dr. Metin Saban, who led the organization of this international congress to be held at our University, and wish them a productive congress process.
