AK Party Member of Parliament for Malatya, İnanç Siraç Kara Ölmeztoprak, stated that the construction of permanent housing in the earthquake zone Malatya is continuing at full speed, and mentioned that the final stages have been reached in 1,180 houses in Yeşilyurt Ikizce. Following the major earthquakes on February 6, 2023, which had a significant impact on Malatya, the reconstruction, construction, and revitalization of the city are ongoing without interruption. During inspections in the earthquake housing area under construction in Yeşilyurt-Ikizce District, along with AK Party Provincial Vice President Refik Şekerci, AK Party Member of Parliament for Malatya, İnanç Siraç Kara Ölmeztoprak, stated that the construction of 1,180 houses in Phase 1 of Zone 1 is nearing completion, and efforts are being intensified for Phase 2 construction.
“Construction of 2,274 houses is ongoing” Member of Parliament Ölmeztoprak noted that a total of 2,274 disaster houses will be built in the region in two phases, and expressed that these houses will become living spaces hopefully by the first quarter of 2025. He mentioned that our houses built by TOKI, along with trade shops in some areas and social facilities that should be included, will find their unique spirit in a short time. Additionally, he shared that the construction of a school in the first zone of Ikizce has started simultaneously.
After the visits in Ikizce, Member of Parliament Ölmeztoprak, along with AK Party Provincial Vice President Refik Şekerci, Provincial Women’s Branch President Esin Tanrıverdi, and Yeşilyurt District President Ramazan Yaylacı, met with the residents of Zaviye Neighborhood. He stated during his speech there that they are swiftly running towards achieving the most positive results in the post-earthquake reconstruction and construction efforts, prioritizing the happiness of the earthquake victims.
Ölmeztoprak mentioned that construction works of 1,080 houses and 57 commercial premises in the central 5-6-7 and 8th regions, as well as infrastructure works, are ongoing in Yeşilyurt Yakınca Neighborhood, and emphasized that every effort is being made for the swift completion of the works.
“Our consultations with NGOs and opinion leaders will continue” Member of Parliament İnanç Siraç Kara Ölmeztoprak, after visiting Cem Foundation Malatya Branch President Eşref Doğan at his residence, expressed that they will regularly consult with representatives of non-governmental organizations and opinion leaders operating in the city. He mentioned that they wanted to have discussions with the esteemed Eşref regarding the activities of Cem Foundation and sought his opinions. He thanked Eşref and his family for their hospitality.
“We will continue to provide seamless healthcare services” During a visit to the Turgut Özal Medical Center, Member of Parliament Ölmeztoprak showed close interest in children receiving treatment in the pediatrics department. He expressed his wishes for a healthy future for all children, thanked everyone contributing to this cause, and stated that they will continue to provide uninterrupted service for children with the support of the Health Ministry. He addressed the staffing issues in the pediatric service and intensive care units, mentioning ongoing discussions with the Health Ministry officials.
