Hasan Metin has become the President of Burhaniye City Council.

After the local elections in Burhaniye, the General Assembly of the City Council, which should become operational within the first 3 months, was held. Hasan Metin was elected as the President. The general assembly held at the Burhaniye Municipality Council hall drew significant attention, and the election was held with a single list. Following a moment of silence and the national anthem, Ali Kemal Deveciler, the Mayor of Burhaniye, was elected as the Chairman of the Board, and Ibrahim Pabuçcuoğlu and Sezer Arkan were elected as Board Secretaries. Deveciler stated that a new management should be determined within 3 months after the City Council elections. He emphasized the importance of the elections held every 2+3 years for local governments. President Ali Kemal Deveciler, mentioning that the Burhaniye City Council was established in 2007 and has been actively working especially after 2009, stated that the previous 5 years have been successfully fulfilled by the council management and members. Deveciler expressed that it is the responsibility of each member and citizen to raise this city to a contemporary level, stating that the duty of the former management has not ended, but it is a collective responsibility to beautify and manage the city. The President of the City Council, Hasan Metin, in his speech, stated, ‘In the local elections on March 29, our people once again entrusted Mr. Ali Kemal Deveciler and his administration with the authority to manage our municipality for another five years. We are confident that this authority will be used to make our city modern, peaceful, clean, and orderly by prioritizing the basic needs of our city, the demands of our citizens, and the necessities of the current economic conditions, just as in previous terms. The proof of this is our people entrusting the authority to manage the city once again to our President, Mr. Ali Kemal Deveciler, and his team.’
