Participants of the ‘Book Stop’ event organized at the Art Studio of model artist Doğan Hattatoğlu summarized 70 different books, mostly classics. Artist Doğan Hattatoğlu, who attracts attention with various activities in the field of culture and art, announced that the ‘Book Stop’ event at his Art Studio, which focuses on world classics, personal development and history books, as well as important works from Turkish literature, has entered its 10th month, and activities are continuing at the workshop on Eski Bat Pazarı Street. Hattatoğlu stated the following about his cultural and art activities: ‘We organize the event called Book Stop once a month. In today’s world where the rate of book reading is decreasing, we aim to reintroduce the habit of reading books. For those who cannot find much time for reading books due to time management, we create awareness by providing summaries. This event offers participants the opportunity to grasp the essence of literary works and opens an intellectual corridor. Moreover, we provide the opportunity for everyone from different regions of Turkey to participate in the Book Stop through virtual platforms. Participants enrich the summaries they present with images produced by artificial intelligence.’ Doğan Hattatoğlu, emphasizing their aim to contribute to the cultural and artistic accumulation of Erzurum, recalled that they organized a ‘Naat Poetry Night’ last Ramadan. Hattatoğlu continued, ‘Important Naat-i Sharifs written over the past thousand years were presented by narrators. Participants experienced both literary and spiritual excitement in this field. Doğan Hattatoğlu Art Studio contributes to individuals’ personal development through activities such as body language and diction training. Additionally, we try to bring together enthusiasts of traditional Turkish art by organizing music rehearsals, calligraphy, and illumination workshops in our studio.’
