The products made by a thousand women in one year are exhibited here.

Nearly a thousand women who attended the courses of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality displayed their handmade products created over a year at the ‘Journey to Art Exhibition’. To contribute to the family economy and learn crafts, the products produced by women attending the courses opened by the Women, Family, and Community Services Branch Directorate of the Social Services Department of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality were presented at the Journey to Art Exhibition. The opening of the exhibition, where the works will be exhibited for 2 days in the area set up in Saathane Square, was carried out by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan. Mayor Halit Doğan congratulated the women and master instructors, stating that the works will also be available for sale on the municipality’s e-commerce website, providing additional income for women.
President Doğan expressed that women’s works, like hemp products, can be sold on the municipality’s website, ‘There are very beautiful works at the exhibition. There are works made of felt, works made from recycled glass, baskets, and dolls. There are products that appeal to everyone, from children to the elderly, with their children or alone. The works that women embroidered with their heart, soul, and effort are waiting for the people of Samsun here. It is a truly important event. An event where all the products produced over the course of 1 year are exhibited. Now we have instructed our colleagues. We will create an area on the e-commerce site of the Metropolitan Municipality where Samsun’s women’s handmade products will be offered for sale alongside hemp shirts. Hopefully, we will provide opportunities for our women to find places where Samsun residents can easily buy the products produced by our women. Now our colleagues will work on this. I congratulate all our women. They have produced very beautiful works. Hopefully, we will continue to improve upon this from the next year onwards. We invite the people of Samsun to see our exhibition and shop at our exhibition’.
