Osmangazi Municipality, aiming to increase the habit of reading books among women in the district and to turn this activity into a daily ritual, has implemented a very important project in line with this goal. Within the scope of the project ‘Meeting with Women Authors’, books with fluent and content that contributes to personal development will be distributed free of charge to women in neighborhoods determined in cooperation with muhtars. Women who read the books distributed in two-month periods will later be brought together with the authors they have read at an event. Osmangazi women will have the opportunity to chat with the authors and even get their books signed. As part of the ‘Meeting with Women Authors’ project, the book ‘Yapa-bilirsin’ written by Tuluhan Tekelioğlu was distributed to women in Osmangazi. Women living in Soğanlı, Alemdar, Gaziakdemir, and Sırameşeler neighborhoods, which were determined as the starting point of the project, received their books after the project introduction meeting held at Soğanlı Cultural Center. The women, who immediately started reading the book telling the success stories of 9 women, expressed their thanks to Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın for this beautiful project specially prepared for them.
