Thanks from the shopkeepers of Uzunyalı to Mayor Ünlü

Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü, who conducted inspections in Uzunyalı, stated that urgent problems identified before the season have been resolved. The local shopkeepers also thanked Ünlü, saying ‘You kept your promise, you saved us from a great burden.’

Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü conducted inspections in Uzunyalı, known as the hotels and restaurants area. Accompanied by the Director of Public Works Özgür Han, Director of Municipal Police Metin Kaleminalı, and Director of Cleaning Services Zafer Yılmaz, Mayor Ünlü inspected the region from the beginning of Uzunyalı to Turban Junction. Mayor Ünlü, who frequently conducted inspections in the region before the season and gave instructions to unit directors regarding urgent issues to be resolved, examined the works carried out in this process on-site.

During his walk along the promenade, Mayor Ünlü met with both shopkeepers and citizens, stating ‘We have worked intensively to solve the problems we identified during our visits before the season in the region. We inspected the works we implemented on-site. We chatted with our shopkeepers and holidaymakers. Especially, the concrete barriers we placed at the mouths of the streams have reduced the bad smell and appearance in the streams, showing how right of a step we took, and we also took notes on what needs to be done. We will take immediate action to resolve the urgent matters as soon as possible. After the season, we will carry out more comprehensive work.’

The local shopkeepers also thanked Mayor Ünlü, especially for the concrete barriers placed in front of the streams, saying ‘You kept your promise, you saved us from a great burden. The stream no longer smells, thank you very much.’
