Students in Osmangazi are spending their summer swimming.

The students who successfully completed the first term of the swimming course offered by Osmangazi Municipality’s summer sports schools have received their certificates. The first term of the swimming course, organized at the Fatih, Yeni Karaman, Soğanlı, and Demirtaş swimming pools under the Osmangazi Municipality, has come to an end. A total of 563 swimming enthusiasts in the age range of 6-14 participated in the first term of the swimming course where expert trainers provided swimming lessons for two weeks. The students who successfully completed the swimming course of the summer sports schools, aimed at encouraging children to engage in sports and ensuring that students spend quality time during the summer break, received their certificates at a ceremony held at the Demirtaş Semi-Olympic Swimming Pool. The certificates were presented to the young swimmers by Osmangazi Deputy Mayor Mutlu Esendemir and Fatih Karayılan, the Chairman of Osmangazi Municipality Sports Club. It was observed that the young swimmers were very excited during the certificate ceremony. Fatih Karayılan, the Chairman of Osmangazi Municipality Sports Club, emphasized the importance of swimming for the physical development of children aged between 6-14, stating, ‘We have opened summer sports schools in many different branches for our children and youth. We are happy to provide services to our children at our facilities. I thank our Mayor Erkan Aydın on behalf of all our students and everyone involved in the courses.’ The students who received their certificates took a commemorative photo with their families, coaches, Osmangazi Deputy Mayor Mutlu Esendemir, and Fatih Karayılan, the Chairman of Osmangazi Municipality Sports Club.
