President Ozdogan: ‘Our support to sports and athletes will continue’

Hacılar Sports Hall hosted the Kayseri Minors Taekwondo Provincial Championship. After the efforts of President Özdoğan, the floor of the hall was renovated and expanded to become a modern sports facility that young people can use, and the hall recently hosted 500 athletes.

The Kayseri Minors Provincial Championship, organized by the Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate Taekwondo Provincial Representation, took place at Hacılar Sports Hall for 4 days. Hacılar Mayor Bilal Özdoğan, expressing that they meticulously carried out all the necessary work for young people, stated that they hosted 500 athletes with the tournament. He said, ‘We are pleased to host the Taekwondo Kayseri Championship, held in our district, where 500 athletes from 20 clubs competed for the provincial championship in our hall. I congratulate our athletes who competed fiercely for the provincial championship and wish them success.’

President Özdoğan stated, ‘In Hacılar, together with all our institutions, organizations, and philanthropists, we have made every effort for our young people, who will be the architects of our great Turkey in the future, to be healthy, conscious, and educated, and we will continue to do so.’

The competitions held at Hacılar Indoor Sports Hall on July 1-4, where 500 athletes from 20 clubs competed, were quite exciting and competitive. Taekwondo Provincial Representative Özben Şimşek said, ‘The top 3 athletes will participate in the Turkey Championship organized by the Turkey Taekwondo Federation in Sivas. Kayseri ranks among the top 3 in the standings, and we have 25,000 licensed athletes in the Taekwondo branch. This is a very modern and suitable hall for competitions. We will also train athletes in the Taekwondo branch at the ERVA Sports School, which will start its activities in Hacılar. We thank the mayor and all those who contributed.’
