The certificates of the first term graduates of the Fruit Tree Grafting Course organized by the Agriculture Academy, initiated by the Mayor of Duzce, Dr. Faruk Özlü, in collaboration with the Agriculture and Forestry Provincial Directorate, were presented. The Agriculture Academy of Duzce Municipality has made a significant contribution to plant cultivation and afforestation. In addition to courses on hazelnut cultivation, mushroom cultivation, pruning techniques, and beekeeping, the fruit tree grafting course, which was completed last week, also graduated its first students. Upon the completion of the Fruit Tree Grafting Course organized in collaboration with the Agriculture and Forestry Provincial Directorate, Mayor Dr. Faruk Özlü and Provincial Director Esra Uzun presented course completion certificates to 14 participants. Mayor Özlü congratulated each participant individually and expressed his satisfaction with the interest shown in the course. Faruk Özlü stated: ‘We continue our efforts in every field to make use of the fertile lands of Duzce. The biggest proof of this is our cultivation of rice and corn on municipal lands and contributing to our economy. The course for which we are presenting certificates today was an application we started upon the request of our fellow citizens. Here, 14 of our siblings received training on fruit tree grafting for 88 hours. With these trainings, we actually aim to support young farmers. I congratulate and thank the participants of the Fruit Tree Grafting Course organized by the Agriculture Academy in collaboration with the Agriculture and Forestry Provincial Directorate. The Agriculture Academy has graduated its first students, and there will be more to come, hopefully. Our fertile lands will continue to be adorned with lush greenery.’ The participants who were satisfied with the program expressed their requests for the opening of courses in different branches, took a commemorative photo with the delegation presenting the certificates after expressing their requests.
