The July City Council Meeting of Turgutlu Municipality was held. A total of 8 items were discussed and resolved at the council meeting, including 1 additional agenda item. The July City Council Meeting of Turgutlu Municipality began with a speech by the Mayor of Turgutlu, Çetin Akın. Mayor Çetin Akın included in his speech the 15th of July Democracy and National Unity Day, Madımak, Başbağlar, Srebrenica Massacres, and the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation. Mayor Çetin Akın also congratulated the press workers on the 24th of July Journalists and Press Day. Mayor Çetin Akın warned the citizens about the increased risk of forest fires due to the recent hot weather, stating: ‘The consecutive news of fires in many parts of our country worries and deeply saddens all of us. I extend my condolences to all citizens affected by the fires. In this regard, I would like to invite all my fellow citizens to act as meticulously as possible against fires. Unfortunately, many of the recent forest fires have been caused by human errors. I kindly request our citizens to stay away from fire on their lands and private properties, and to be careful and sensitive in matters that may cause fires such as burning stubble for garden and field cleaning purposes, and lighting fires during picnics. I do not want to make this call to you specifically so that our national assets are not burned again, and no harm comes to any life. Let’s please be very careful.’ In his speech, Mayor Çetin Akın also wished for all prayers and worship to be accepted on the occasion of the month of Muharram. The 7 items on the agenda of the July City Council Meeting were approved unanimously. The July City Council Meeting of Turgutlu Municipality concluded after the eighth and final item on the agenda, the wishes and greetings section.
