Support for students from Yunusemre

The products made by the trainees attending courses in the Yunusemre Municipality’s women’s centers have started to be offered for sale at the social market in Millet Çarşısı. Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban stated that the products will be available for sale every Tuesday, thus contributing to the home economies of the trainees.

Within the structure of Yunusemre Municipality, housewives participating in courses at women’s centers develop their hand skills on one hand and contribute to the household economy by selling the products they produce on the other. In line with the instructions of Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban, housewives will now sell the handicraft products they produce at the women’s centers at the stalls set up in the social market at Yunus Emre Millet Çarşısı. Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban, Deputy Mayor Emine Özge Arslan, and relevant directors visited the stalls to show support. During the visit, the housewives expressed their gratitude to Mayor Balaban for providing them with the opportunity to sell their products at the social market set up at Millet Çarşısı every Tuesday.

Women’s labor contributes to the economy
During the visit, Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban invited all citizens to support the producing women who contribute to the household economy. Mayor Balaban stated the following in his announcement: ‘Our sisters in the women’s centers are presenting the products they produce to our people at the Social Market known as the Tuesday market in Güzelyurt Neighborhood. Our women offer the handmade products they produce with diligence at economic prices to the liking of our citizens. From now on, the products produced by our women in the women’s centers will be put up for sale every Tuesday. I invite all our people to support the women who are producing.’
