Thousands of students have graduated from FU

The graduates of the faculties and vocational schools of Firat University for the 2023-2024 academic year were bid farewell with enthusiasm at the graduation ceremony held. The graduation ceremony, held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Hall, was attended by the Rector of Firat University, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Goktas, Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Bilal Üstündağ, Prof. Dr. Soner Özgen, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yılmaz, deans of faculties, academicians, students, and their families. Speaking at the graduation ceremony program, the Rector of Firat University, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Goktas, emphasized that Firat University, with its 50 years of rooted history, is an important institution that is well-known in Turkey and worldwide. Addressing the graduating students, Rector Prof. Dr. Goktas said, ‘First of all, I congratulate you all with my sincerest feelings for reaching the graduation stage. I congratulate you on graduating from our esteemed Firat University, whose diploma you can proudly carry. I want to underline this especially. Today, you are graduating from Firat University, which is one of the top 15 universities in Turkey. I wish that you continue your professional life with pride and integrity. You have completed the first step of a long and challenging process to which both you, your families, and our state have devoted great effort. I hope this process has been fruitful and beneficial for you. I wish the rest of your life to be healthy and successful as well. Always be conscious of serving your parents, your homeland, and hold onto our state, flag, culture, and values. Wherever you are, whatever job you do, never let the love for your country, state, and flag in your heart diminish.’ After the speeches, graduation certificates were presented to the students graduating from faculties and vocational schools. The ceremony ended with all the students throwing their caps in the air.
