President Ozyigit: ‘We allocated 5 galvanized water trucks to rural neighborhoods’

Yenişehir Mayor Abdullah Özyiğit stated that they allocated 5 galvanized water tankers for garden irrigation, fire incidents, and water shortages in rural neighborhoods. The Joint Meeting of the Yenişehir Municipal Council for the July Ordinary Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Özyiğit at the Atatürk Cultural Center of Yenişehir Municipality, where agenda items were discussed and decided upon. Speaking at the council meeting, Özyiğit expressed that they took an important step to alleviate water shortages and increase fire prevention measures in rural neighborhoods. Özyiğit announced that they allocated 5 units of 3-ton galvanized water tankers to rural neighborhoods. He mentioned that the allocation made to meet the garden irrigation needs and to provide rapid intervention in case of fires in rural areas was positively received by the local community, and highlighted that the tankers would be actively used even in periods of water scarcity. ‘We will open the retired home next month.’ On the occasion of Retirees Week, Özyiğit announced that they will open the retirement home they built in Güven Park. He continued: ‘I extend my respects to retirees who have worked for years, contributed, and struggled for the development of our country with their sweat and toil, and I wish them a healthy and peaceful life. Unfortunately, our retirees are going through very difficult times. Sacrifice is always expected first from retirees in every hardship. We reject what is imposed on our retirees. As Yenişehir Municipality, we have initiatives for our retirees. We will open the retirement home we built in Güven Park, whose renovation works we have completed, next month.’ Özyiğit also celebrated the 98th anniversary of the Cabotage Law and the July 1st Maritime and Cabotage Day, and commemorated those who lost their lives in the incident at the Madımak Hotel in Sivas on July 2, 1993 during the Pir Sultan Abdal Festivals.
