President Koksal met with the people of Yerkesik

Mayor of Menteşe, City Planner Gonca Köksal, met with the public in Yerkesik Neighborhood. Starting the public meeting by visiting the market and tradesmen, Mayor Köksal later met with the people of Yerkesik at a meeting held in the town square. Mayor Köksal, in her speech during the public meeting, said, ‘First of all, I thank each of you for your support. We are in the field as a team and have started our work. We are visiting each of our neighborhoods with our unit directors one by one. The reason for our visits is to make more detailed examinations in our neighborhoods, determine the tasks we need to do in order of priority and urgency together with you here. Our headman has requests, you have requests. Perhaps there are issues you want to add. Your suggestions are valuable to us, not just complaints. That’s why we are here today. We attach great importance to public meetings. We have only one goal. That is to serve our country in cooperation with our team, our council, our units, our staff, and all institutions and organizations in the city. Our relations with official institutions and directorates are better and warmer than before. Generally, the only problem we all face is economic difficulties. We will overcome them in time. Thanks to you, I became Muğla’s first female mayor. I am aware that expectations are high. Women are more meticulous and careful in their work. I, too, work day and night with my team to meet your expectations. My request from you is to please take ownership of the work done by the municipality in your neighborhood. We will do the work discussed here today. But if we act together, if we unite, we will beautify Yerkesik Neighborhood together. A beautiful new era has begun. We will work, and Yerkesik will win.’ After Mayor Köksal’s speech, the citizens expressed their suggestions, requests, and complaints. Mayor Köksal, upon the requests from the citizens, conducted inspections with unit directors in some streets, including the old wedding hall and the municipal building, and made various visits.
