Gölbaşı Atatürk Sahil Parkı is being renovated

Golbasi Municipality in Ankara is conducting ground improvement and rehabilitation works at Ataturk Coastal Park to provide citizens with a more comfortable and safe environment to spend time. Additionally, the old pergolas in the park are being replaced with new pergolas produced with the municipality’s own resources. One of the most popular parks in Ankara, Ataturk Coastal Park has started a renovation project by Golbasi Municipality. As part of the works, channels were opened and pipes were laid for the accumulated water on the ground to reach the lake. Ground improvement works are being carried out for visitors to spend time in the park more safely and comfortably. Moreover, the worn-out pergolas in the park are being replaced with new ones made with the municipality’s own resources. Golbasi Municipality teams are continuing the general maintenance and landscaping works in the park. During the works carried out in the park, which will become a more modern and functional area, the natural texture of the area is being preserved. “Our goal is to turn Ataturk Coastal Park into a living space intertwined with nature.” Emphasizing that Ataturk Coastal Park is one of the most important recreation areas in the district, Golbasi Mayor Yakup Odabasi stated, “With the ground improvement and rehabilitation works carried out here, we aim for our citizens to enjoy their time in our park more. Directing the accumulated water in the ground to the lake through channels will ensure a healthier and safer structure for the park. With the renovation works, we are preserving the natural texture of our park while giving it a more modern and aesthetic appearance. The urban furniture used in our park is produced in the workshops within our municipality. Our goal is to turn Ataturk Coastal Park into a living space intertwined with nature, where everyone can comfortably use. Our works will be completed in the shortest time possible and will be presented to our people for their use.”
