Visit to President Ozdogan from the national team

The Men’s National Blind Football Team visited Hacılar Mayor Bilal Özdoğan in the district where they camped before the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and thanked him for the support they provided. During the visit, Mayor Özdoğan said, ‘We have seen that there is nothing that becomes an obstacle in life once desired, and we see this in you. We see it in our amputee national team as well.’ Planning to target a medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and continuing their camp in Kayseri for this purpose, Mayor Özdoğan hosted Vice President Orhan Tanrıkulu, Head Coach Niyazi Metin, and players from the team, stating, ‘You are showing us how success comes when you believe and strive together. I sincerely thank you separately for representing our country properly. We have always tried to be by your side, supported you as much as we could, and as much as possible. Our national teams, regardless of the level and scale, are our precious ones. The waving of our crescent-star flag creates a special excitement and pride in us. I thank you for your efforts and representation of us. We successfully came out of the election with the support of the people and continue our work. While our work continues on one hand, new tasks also emerge with the summer season. I apologize for any delay. I am happy to see you here, welcome, and enjoy your time. May God make it easy for you. We love you.’ Turkey Blind Football Federation Vice President Orhan Tanrıkulu also thanked Mayor Özdoğan for his support, saying, ‘Your name is frequently mentioned among the best athletes in Europe who have secured a Paralympic quota. We have always felt your warmth. Hopefully, your support will lead us to win a cup at the Paralympics. This is a team effort. You are also a part of this team. Especially, Oğuzhan loves you very much. I thank you very much for your contributions. Football, especially this football, is the toughest job in the world. We have succeeded in it, together. It is a team game, you won’t see, you will coordinate on the field, dominate the ball, find the goal, and score. This is the toughest job in the world. I hope our youth who will represent our country at the highest level will achieve greater success with your contributions. We promise to return successfully from the Paralympics.’ During the visit, a jersey signed by the Turkey Blind National Football Team players with the inscription ‘Bilal Özdoğan’ was presented as a gift to Mayor Özdoğan.
