Magnificent stage performance by young actors in Osmangazi

The students of Osmangazi Municipality Theater School for the 2023-2024 term staged William Shakespeare’s greatest comedy on love and dreams, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Despite being their first play, the young actors put on a performance that will not be forgotten, receiving great admiration from the audience. The Osmangazi Municipality Theater School students for the 2023-2024 term, who presented one of the most staged and watched plays of English playwright William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, received full marks from theater enthusiasts. The play, adapted by Bursa State Theater Artist Kübra Tüzgün, was staged for free at Ahmet Vefik Paşa Bursa State Theater. In A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which attracted great interest from the audience, the play constantly shifts between dream and reality, while portraying the emotional chaos specific to human nature. The play, whose main theme is love and marriage, takes place at a wedding feast in Ancient Greece. The question ‘Who can hinder mutual love?’ is examined through complicated relationships, emphasizing the comedy of these two concepts. In addition to the transience of everything, the play conveys to the audience in an entertaining way the permanence of love and the ability to overcome all mistakes sooner or later, incorporating both real and imaginary elements, and not heavily relying on mythological elements. The students of Osmangazi Municipality Theater School for the 2023-2024 term, who appeared before the audience with their first play A Midsummer Night’s Dream after a year of preparation, delivered a performance that will not be forgotten. The young actors were showered with applause by the audience at the end of the play. Among the spectators of the theater play, which attracted the interest of the people of Bursa, were Osmangazi Municipality Vice Presidents Mutlu Esendemir, İbrahim Emre Tornaoğlu, and Hüseyin Eren Hersan. At the end of the evening, the vice presidents presented certificates of appreciation to the young actors, congratulating them for their wonderful performance and wishing them success in their artistic careers.
