Graduation Joy at Erciyes University Faculty of Pharmacy

Erciyes University (ERU) Faculty of Pharmacy awarded the 15th term graduates of the 2023-2024 Academic Year. A total of 97 students graduated within the program. The graduation ceremony, held at the Erciyes Cultural Center, was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Secretary General Prof. Dr. İbrahim Narin, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Orhan Püsküllü, Assistant Secretary General Assoc. Dr. Afşın Alper Cerit, President of the TEB Inspection Board Oğuzhan Ulutaş, General Secretary of the 12th District Kayseri Chamber of Pharmacists Specialist Pharmacist Serdar Akça, the Philanthropic Kılıçer Family, along with academics, students, and families. Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, in his speech, started by thanking the Philanthropic Kılıçer Family for their continuous support to the Faculty of Pharmacy. Emphasizing that Erciyes University is a university that provides scientific contributions to all humanity, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun stated, ‘As Erciyes University, we are an important institution of higher education that represents our country with examples on behalf of humanity, moving sincerely towards science. In doing so, we aim at our Erciyes Mountain as a summit just like our name suggests.’ Congratulating the graduating students and their families in his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun remarked, ‘Dear young people; these days pass by very quickly. Just as you ask how five years have passed since you came to university until today? After graduation, you will also ask how quickly thirty years have passed. Therefore, never forget that lifelong learning continues. You should never stay away from education and teaching. In terms of renewing yourself, you need to keep up with up-to-date information in terms of R&D and innovation.’ Asking the graduating students to applaud their families in his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun stated, ‘Dear graduates; love your professional life as much as you love your country. Because love for the country and profession will always lead you to greater successes.’ Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Orhan Püsküllü also provided information about their faculty and wished the graduating students success in their professional lives. TEB Inspection Board President Oğuzhan Ulutaş and General Secretary of the 12th District Kayseri Chamber of Pharmacists Specialist Pharmacist Serdar Akça also delivered speeches congratulating the graduating students. Following the speeches, diplomas were presented to the graduating students. The graduation ceremony concluded with the first-ranked student of the term, Mustafa Mert Erciyas, nailing the plaque to the graduation log, the graduating students taking the pharmacist oath, and everyone throwing their caps in the air together.
