Youth and Culture Camp applications have started

Applications have started for the Youth and Culture Camps organized every year by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality continues to contribute to the successful continuation of young people’s social and cultural activities, gaining new life experiences, enriching their personal accumulations, and discovering their talents. In this context, within the scope of the Metropolitan Municipality Youth Movement, Youth and Culture Camps will be held between July 2 and August 29. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality promises young people a fulfilling summer vacation with the ‘Youth and Culture Camps’ to be held at Mahmur Dağı Youth and Culture Camp Area in İlkadım district. During the camps lasting a total of 8 weeks, with day trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1-night stays in tents on weekends, social, cultural, and sports activities will be organized. In a total of 16 day trips and 8 overnight camp programs, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality will collaborate with NGOs, schools, and youth centers to organize various activities for young people. Participants will apply online after obtaining consent from their parents. Transportation to the camps will be provided by buses allocated by the municipality. In this context, 8 camp leaders, 5 youth leaders, 2 administrative, and 1 assistant personnel will be appointed. A total of 2,400 students will receive gifts such as t-shirts, hats, and puzzles. ‘We are always by the side of our youth’ Emphasizing the importance and value given to young people, Samsun Metropolitan Mayor Halit Doğan said, ‘We find it very valuable to create various environments for our young people to discover their talents and to evaluate their potentials at the highest level. As Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, we are working to provide the support and opportunities our young people need in this process. With projects like the Youth and Culture Camps, we provide opportunities for our young people to develop themselves in social, cultural, and sports fields, gain new skills, and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, I would like to emphasize that we are always by the side of our youth and make every effort to enable them to use their potentials to the maximum.’ Young people aged between 11-24 can apply for the camps to be held between July 2 and August 29 through the municipality’s website.
