11 Adana industrial companies in the top 500

The results of the ‘Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises-2023’ research, conducted annually by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, have been announced. This year, 11 industrial firms from Adana entered the ISO 500 2023 ranking. TÜPRAŞ, the largest industrial enterprise in Turkey, remained the first in the ISO 500 2023 ranking. Among the Adana industrial firms in the ranking were Sasa Polyester Sanayi A.Ş. at 29th place, Temsa Skoda Sabancı Transportation Vehicles Inc. at 175th place, Elita Food Industry and Trade Inc. at 256th place, Omnia Starch Industry and Trade Inc. at 300th place, Akyem Adana Feed Oil Biodiesel Agriculture and Industry Trade Inc. at 319th place, Abdioğulları Plastic and Packaging Industry Inc. at 350th place, Sunar Corn Integrated Facilities Industry and Trade Inc. at 360th place, Bossa Trade and Industrial Enterprises Inc. at 373rd place, ADM Food and Agriculture Inc. at 395th place, Pilyem Food Agriculture Industry and Trade Inc. at 442nd place, Atlasdenim Textile Industry and Trade Inc. at 469th place. ‘Decrease in the number of firms’ Adana Chamber of Industry Chairman Zeki Kıvanç stated that the number of firms in the list has decreased, saying ‘Our Adana, which was represented by 14 firms in 2022, had 11 industrial firms in the 2023-ISO 500 list announced this year. The difficult year of 2023, especially with the impact of the disaster we experienced as a region consecutively, has revealed its reflections on the industrial sector for the whole world and our country. While the total net sales of 14 firms in 2022 were 67.3 billion TRY, the total net sales of 11 firms reached 82.6 billion TRY in 2023. Despite the decrease in the number of firms, the total net sales amount has increased. It indicates that the average sales of the firms listed in 2023 have significantly increased compared to 2022. There is an increase of approximately 56% in average net sales. This increase shows that the individual performances of the firms have improved.’ ‘The number of firms among the top 500 will increase’ President Kıvanç, who stated that they find the situation in the ISO 500 2023 ranking insufficient for the Adana industry, said, ‘Adana has the potential to increase this number much higher in the upcoming period with ongoing construction and new investment areas. Hopefully, in the upcoming period, as Adana, we will raise this number to even higher levels. As Adana industrialists, our biggest priority is to contribute more than ever to Turkey’s production, export, and employment. We are evaluating every opportunity for the strengthening of our country’s and our province’s economy. I congratulate our industrial firms listed in the Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises Research. In the near future, with the new investments to be made in our region, the number of firms among the top 500 will increase.’
