Students who have earned the right to graduate in the 2023-2024 Academic Year at Gaziantep University (GAUN) Faculty of Tourism received their graduation certificates at a ceremony held for this purpose. The Dean of the Faculty of Tourism at GAUN, Prof. Dr. Erdal Bay, addressed the students at the opening of the graduation program held at GAUN Ataturk Cultural Stage, stating, ‘Be good gastronomes. Always do the most beautiful things for humanity, our state, and the Turkish nation. You are the real heroes of this story. I wish you success in the continuation of your story.’ Continuing his speech, Prof. Dr. Bay addressed the academics, saying, ‘The efforts of our young adults in the success story of our youth, the children of yesterday and the adults of tomorrow, have been crucial in many scenarios. You have seen the children of our families as your own and tried to raise them in the best possible way both professionally and in terms of character. You have raised individuals who will represent the legacy entrusted to us by the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Ataturk. In this period marked by disasters like the pandemic and earthquakes, you have worked hard for them to be the best. I congratulate you for your efforts.’ Speaking on behalf of the graduates of the Faculty of Tourism at GAUN, the top student of the term, Zeynep Duzgun, said, ‘Throughout our time in this faculty, we have built beautiful friendships and gathered very valuable memories that will warm our hearts when we look back in the future. All the experiences, good and bad, we have had during our university life have prepared us for life. I believe that with all the professional equipment provided by GAUN Faculty of Tourism and the confidence it has instilled in us to step into the future, we, as the graduates of this faculty, will perform our profession in the best possible way.’ Following the opening speeches, certificates were presented to the students who excelled academically and to the graduates. The ceremony ended with the graduates throwing their caps in the air.
