During a wedding ceremony held over the weekend, where a marriage certificate was to be presented to the newlyweds, MHP Member of Parliament Baki Ersoy from Kayseri received a big round of applause for announcing that it would be presented by CHP Member of Parliament Aşkın Genç. Many guests, along with MHP Member of Parliament Baki Ersoy, CHP Member of Parliament Aşkın Genç, and officials from both political parties, attended the wedding ceremony. The marriage certificate was presented to the young couple by the Mayor of Bünyan, Selahattin Metin, who then handed over the task of presenting it to MHP Provincial Chairman Seyit Demirezen, and Chairman Demirezen requested MHP Member of Parliament Baki Ersoy to perform this duty. Taking the marriage certificate along with the microphone, MHP Member of Parliament Baki Ersoy stated, ‘Idealists are very courteous, respectful, and polite people. Our brand-new CHP member of parliament is also present here. With the request of our esteemed Member of Parliament Aşkın Genç, I am presenting the certificate to our honorable member of parliament.’ MHP Member of Parliament Baki Ersoy, who received enthusiastic applause from the audience, was applauded by CHP Pınarbaşı Mayor Deniz Yağan, while CHP Member of Parliament Aşkın Genç thanked Baki Ersoy and presented the marriage certificate, wishing the young couple a lifetime of happiness. It is known that a few days ago, in the Pınarbaşı district where the election was repeated, a municipal council member was first beaten and then shot with a firearm. Some CHP members had accused MHP Member of Parliament Baki Ersoy of incitement. It remains to be seen whether the embarrassed CHP side will feel any remorse with this gesture by Baki Ersoy.
