Manisa Celal Bayar University aims to continue its success in education with innovative departments in the 2024-2025 academic year. Among the new departments, departments such as ‘Data Science and Analytics’, ‘Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning’, ‘Alternative Energy Sources Technology’, ‘Big Data Analytics’, and ‘Digital Transformation Electronics’ stand out. Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBÜ) achieved a significant success by graduating 8,000 students in the 2023-2024 academic year. While aiming to further strengthen this achievement with the new departments opened in the 2024-2025 academic year, the university will continue its rising momentum in education with innovative programs such as Electrical Engineering at Hasan Ferdi Turgutlu Technology Faculty, Data Science and Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the Engineering and Natural Sciences Faculty.In the upcoming period, 9,000 new students will be enrolled. Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBÜ) graduated a total of 8,000 students from 15 faculties, 15 vocational schools, and one college this year. The university, which prepares its students as qualified, competent, and self-confident professionals, is reported to admit 9,000 new students next year. While working to realize its goal of providing quality education to more students with innovative moves and new departments, Manisa Celal Bayar University continues to develop innovation in education through university-industry collaboration.Innovative steps in education. MCBÜ, closely following technological innovations, made significant progress in this field by opening the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning department within the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Programs such as Electrical Engineering at Hasan Ferdi Turgutlu Technology Faculty and Data Science and Analytics at the Engineering and Natural Sciences Faculty will also admit students for the first time.Among the innovative studies aimed at equipping young people with modern skills, the Aerospace Platforms and Defense Systems Research Laboratory opened in cooperation between MCBÜ and TUSAŞ is considered an important initiative. The laboratory, which will contribute significantly to education in terms of ‘Design and Innovation-oriented Product Development’, ‘Innovative Production Techniques in Aviation and Defense Technologies research and development’, ‘R&D project collaborations’, ‘Training of undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral researchers in strategic issues’, and ‘Utilization of the university’s test infrastructure’, aims to provide students with experience before entering the field. The project, realized through the collaboration of TUSAŞ, university, and industry, is exemplary in this respect and is the first of its kind in Turkey, with support from 6 companies in the Manisa Industry.Fair education in laboratories. MCBÜ, which attaches importance to practical implementation in education through university-industry collaboration, opened advanced laboratories in partnership with Enerjisa at Manisa Technical Sciences Vocational School. With the signed job-guaranteed protocol, students have job opportunities after graduation, and another remarkable aspect of the project is the separate and equal determination of quotas for female and male students for the first time in Turkey. This innovation aims to support the employment of female students.Diplomas recognized in Europe. Certain departments of MCBÜ have the right to use the Turkey Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) logo. This means that diplomas of graduates are recognized in Europe. Among the departments carrying the TYÇ logo are Biology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Nursing, Chemistry, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, and Medicine. The university’s goal is to spread this accreditation throughout the university to offer students internationally recognized diplomas. MCBÜ, which has made a significant increase in this regard, continues to strive to increase the number steadily from one semester to the next.Manisa Celal Bayar University also stands out with its Erasmus and bilateral cooperation agreements. The university, which has received many projects from various calls of TÜBİTAK, is determinedly progressing towards increasing its publications and projects.New departments to be opened. The new departments that Manisa Celal Bayar University will open and admit students for the first time in the 2024-2025 academic year are as follows: 4-year programs: “Hasan Ferdi Turgutlu Technology Faculty: Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Divinity: Divinity (TRNC Nationals), Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences: Data Science and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. 2-year programs are as follows: “Köprübaşı Vocational School: Court Clerk Services, Manisa Technical Sciences Vocational School: Alternative Energy Sources Technology (Female), Alternative Energy Sources Technology (Male), Big Data Analytics, Digital Transformation Electronics, Manufacturing Execution Systems Operatorship.”
