In collaboration with Konyaaltı Municipality and Konyaaltı City Council Foreigners Assembly, an event organized in HayatPark within the scope of World Yoga Day brought together yoga enthusiasts from all around Antalya. Konyaaltı Municipality and Konyaaltı City Council Foreigners Assembly held an event with yoga enthusiasts at HayatPark on June 21st, World Yoga Day. The program, which was attended by a large number of people from seven to 70, continued with laughter yoga after the Foreigners Assembly Choir concert. Participants laughed for minutes to relieve stress during the program, which continued with children’s yoga, hatha yoga, dancing with mantras, and ended with mindfulness meditation. At the end of the program, yoga enthusiasts mentioned that their minds and bodies felt relaxed. Müge Gezginci Ünsal, Deputy Mayor of Konyaaltı Municipality, who participated in the event and made a short speech after the concert, stated that they will continue to organize such events in HayatPark.
Participants enjoyed the event. Gizem Gülpınar, who mentioned that she came to HayatPark for the first time and participated in an event for the first time, said, ‘Today we did yoga and breathing exercises here due to World Yoga Day on June 21. Many beautiful activities were carried out from the beginning to the end of the program. I liked all of them very much.’ Gülpınar, who has been practicing yoga for 3 years, said, ‘I returned to yoga with this event. I recommend it to everyone. It provides a rhythm and order to plan your life.’
Yoga is very beneficial for children. Özgün Dayar, a Children’s Yoga Instructor, stated that meeting with yoga enthusiasts in a beautiful area like HayatPark on World Yoga Day, June 21, was incredibly enjoyable. Dayar mentioned that children are very enthusiastic about joining yoga. Dayar explained that they perform children’s yoga more with games and songs, aiming to be gentle with our bodies, nature, and each other in these trainings. ‘We discover our own limits. Therefore, yoga activities are especially beneficial for children. I am very happy to be here and be a part of this event,’ Dayar said.
