Goalkeeper Mateusz Lis, who spent last season on loan at Göztepe, is returning to Southampton managed by Sport Republic, which owns 70% of the shares of the yellow-red club, and it is reported that Lis will be sold for a good transfer fee. With the arrival of the summer transfer window at Göztepe, one of the new teams in the Süper Lig, transfer activities have started. Initially parting ways with Atınç Nukan, Celil Yüksel, Fıratcan Üzüm, Billal Messaoudi, Ensar Aksakal, and Ümit Akdağ, the yellow-red team has also started to search for a goalkeeper. Mateusz Lis, who played on loan for the Izmir team last season and had a significant contribution to the championship, left the yellow-red team after the season he spent on loan and returned to Southampton. It is stated that Southampton, managed by Sport Republic, which owns 70% of Göztepe’s shares, will sell the 27-year-old goalkeeper for a good transfer fee. While it is noted that there are significant offers for Lis from many teams, Southampton is said to be in the process of evaluating these offers. Thus, it is highly likely that the Polish goalkeeper will not wear the yellow-red jersey again in the new season. Two transfers will be announced simultaneously. Having recently made their first transfer move by adding 29-year-old left-back Djalma Silva to their squad, the yellow-reds are now preparing to announce the reinforcements of right-back Nazım Sangare and midfielder Isaac Solet. It is stated that the two players who underwent medical check-ups at Göztepe’s sponsor hospital will join the new season training that will start at Urla Adnan Süvari Facilities on Monday, June 24th.
