Beşiktaş Municipality sent a ‘Mobivet’ animal ambulance to the forest fire area that started between Çınar district of Diyarbakır and Mazıdağı district of Mardin and was brought under control for the injured animals. Beşiktaş Municipality took action for the fire that started between Çınar district of Diyarbakır and Mazıdağı district of Mardin and affected 17 villages. In the fire where 11 citizens, eight from Mardin and three from Diyarbakır, lost their lives, thousands of animals were harmed. Cooling efforts have started in the region where 556 sheep and goats were determined to have died in the fire, and Beşiktaş Municipality took action for the injured animals. The municipality sent the ‘Mobivet’ animal ambulance to the area where the fire occurred.
Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat stated that they sent municipal teams to the region for the injured animals. Akpolat noted that Beşiktaş Municipality Veterinary Directorate took action and said, ‘In these difficult times, we are sending our Mobivet animal ambulance that provides 24/7 service to the region immediately. Our goal is to provide treatment and care for these innocent animals as quickly as possible, and ensure their safe recovery.’
Akpolat mentioned that not only humans were affected by the disaster, saying, ‘The fire that broke out between Diyarbakır Çınar and Mardin Mazıdağı deeply touched all of us. Not only humans are affected by this disaster, but also the cute friends who share the same world and live under the same sky with us are experiencing this pain.’
President Akpolat added, ‘In these difficult times, the Veterinary Directorate is sending our Mobivet animal ambulance that provides 24/7 service to help the injured animals in the region immediately. Our goal is to provide treatment and care for these innocent animals as quickly as possible, and ensure their safe recovery. We are obliged to protect these valuable beings who are part of nature and show them compassion. Alleviating their pain and healing their wounds is a necessity of our humanity. At the same time, we will act shoulder to shoulder with our citizens in full solidarity during this challenging process. We are fully confident that together we will overcome these difficult days.’
