Turkish Red Crescent will reach 4.2 million people in need in 21 countries with 146,683 shares of sacrificial slaughter
Turkish Red Crescent exceeded its target of 128,000 shares in the traditional sacrifice campaign by performing a total of 146,683 shares of sacrificial slaughter, with 31,668 shares domestically and 115,015 shares internationally. The Red Crescent, which has been organizing the sacrifice campaign through proxy donations, successfully completed the sacrifice transactions.

Turkish Red Crescent exceeded its target of 128 thousand shares in the traditional sacrificial slaughter campaign by realizing a total of 146,683 shares of sacrificial slaughter, with 31,668 shares domestically and 115,015 shares internationally. Turkish Red Crescent will distribute the sacrificial animals it slaughtered through proxies to approximately 4.2 million people in need across 21 countries, including Turkey and Gaza.
For 18 years, Turkish Red Crescent has been implementing the ‘Red Crescent Sacrifice Model’, and this year, it reached 146,683 shares of sacrificial slaughter, exceeding the target of 128 thousand shares within the sacrificial slaughter campaign that attracted great interest from philanthropists. Under the slogan ‘If You Keep the Blessing of Sacrifice Alive Throughout the Year, Let Turkey Shine’, the Red Crescent, which received sacrificial proxies from philanthropists, carried out 31,668 shares domestically and 115,015 shares in 19 countries across three continents internationally.
31,668 shares of sacrificial slaughter were carried out for Turkey and Gaza.
Red Crescent will process the shares obtained from the 31,668 shares of sacrificial slaughter carried out domestically into canned meat, which will be delivered to people in need not only during the holiday but throughout the year. Red Crescent has initiated the meat processing processes for the preparation of the canned meat and will share the meals with 340,000 people in need, especially including earthquake victims in distribution within the country. Embracing the long-lasting canned meat method for the conflict victims in Gaza this year, Red Crescent conducted 21,252 shares of sacrificial slaughter with the proxies received in the Gaza section of the domestic campaign. The canned meat prepared for Gaza will be delivered to approximately 1 million people in need through the Goodness Ships that Red Crescent sends humanitarian aid to the region.

Within the scope of the international sacrificial slaughter campaign, Red Crescent carried out 115,015 shares of sacrificial slaughter in a total of 19 countries across three continents, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Kosovo in the Balkans; Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan in Asia; Iraq, Syria, Yemen in the Middle East; Chad, Niger, Somalia, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Burkina Faso in Africa. Red Crescent distributed the sacrificial meat obtained from the international slaughters as fresh meat by maintaining the cold chain, managing to deliver the sacrificial share to more than 2.8 million people in need.
