Pilgrims who went to the holy lands to perform the Hajj pilgrimage have started to return to the country. After completing their duties in the holy lands, the pilgrims arrived at Istanbul Airport by a scheduled flight departing from Jeddah in the early morning hours. The return journey of the pilgrims who completed the Hajj pilgrimage in the holy lands has begun. This morning, pilgrims flew from the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and landed at Istanbul Airport around 07:50. Pilgrims arriving in Istanbul in groups officially entered the country after passport and luggage procedures at the airport. Emotional moments were experienced as families and relatives welcomed the pilgrims in the international arrivals hall. Mühibe and Tahsin Göz, a couple who spent 36 days in the holy lands, shared emotional moments and thoughts upon their return from Hajj. Mühibe Göz said, ‘Everything was very beautiful, it is experienced rather than told,’ while her husband Tahsin Göz stated, ‘May it be the fortune of everyone, God willing. We experienced very emotional moments, it was very beautiful.’ Another pilgrim, Murat Bakkaloğlu, who was part of the group arriving at Istanbul Airport, mentioned that he wrote down the names of all his relatives who called him on a piece of paper. Bakkaloğlu said, ‘I wrote down the names, surnames, wishes, prayers, and the sick of my friends one by one, a total of 354 people. I prayed for each of these friends when I went there.’ Osman Kocadelioğlu, who went to the holy lands for the Hajj pilgrimage with his spouse, shared his experience, saying, ‘We went there feeling as heavy as iron, and now we return as light as cotton, thanks to God. I am very comfortable, coming to our country in a state of spiritual satisfaction. I would like to say this, one needs to be filled with that spiritual satisfaction. It is necessary to go there young, both in terms of perspective on life and living life properly. There are many Turkish citizens there, including our elderly. Many of them could not walk and endure the heat. There are people from all over the world there. Due to the heat, many people passed away and we saw them covered with a white cloth.’
