CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu attended the funeral of an MHP council member

MHP Şehzadeler Municipality and Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Council Member and educator Mehmet Güzgülü, who passed away at the hospital where he was receiving treatment, was buried after the funeral prayer. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel also attended the funeral prayer.
Educator Mehmet Güzgülü, 69 years old, who was among the important figures of MHP in Manisa and held important positions at Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, passed away this morning despite all the interventions at Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital where he was admitted with a leukemia diagnosis about 3 weeks ago. After the afternoon prayer, the funeral prayer was performed at Hatuniye Mosque and Mehmet Güzgülü was bid farewell to his final journey with prayers.
The funeral prayer was attended by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Manisa Deputy Governor Aydın Memük, former ministers Rıza Akçalı, CHP Manisa Deputies Bekir Başevirgen, Ahmet Vehbi Bakırlıoğlu, AK Party Manisa Deputy Tamer Akkal, former Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün, political party representatives, his family, friends, and many citizens. Following the funeral prayer, the coffin of Güzgülü, carried on the shoulders of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and former Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün, was buried in Kırtık Cemetery with prayers.
Mehmet Güzgülü, who has been a council member in Manisa Municipality and Manisa Metropolitan Municipality for more than 30 years, also served as the Deputy Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality and was the Presidential Advisor of the previous term and the President of Manisa BBSK. He was elected as a Council Member of Şehzadeler Municipality from MHP in the Local Administrative Elections on March 31. Mehmet Güzgülü, who was married to Esin Güzgülü and had one child, was 69 years old.
