Seçer visited and celebrated the holiday with the citizens living in Toroslar

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer visited the neighborhoods in the Toroslar district and celebrated the holiday with the residents. Mayor Seçer visited the neighborhoods of Aladağ, Yeniköy, Bekiralanı, Soğucak, Ayvagediği, and Gözne, which are preferred by summer residents. Starting with Aladağ neighborhood, Seçer celebrated the holiday with the residents. Explaining his formula for the votes and support he received from the people, Seçer said, ‘Respecting everyone’s identity, views, and way of life, delivering fair services to everyone, and loving people is the formula for the job. Our goal and motto are clear; we will walk together with President Abdurrahman in our second 5 years in Toroslar.’ Seçer, expressing that the future of Toroslar will change, said, ‘We put our hands on our conscience, we have been fair. We made efforts to reach everywhere without playing politics.’
Addressing the issues on village roads, Seçer, during his visit to Yeniköy, emphasized that he will work harder, saying, ‘We have raised the bar so high that it will be more difficult for those who intend to take on these positions in the future. The table has now changed. We believe in the insight of our people and trust them.’ Seçer mentioned that the public voted for working mayors in the last elections and continued, ‘Thanks to the determined stance of the citizens, we also gained the majority in the Council. Services will now be provided faster. We will do our best to solve the water problems in Mersin’s plateaus as best as we can. We intervened in the issues on village roads.’
‘We believe in the support of the people’ Seçer, who later visited the Bekiralanı neighborhood, wished the residents a peaceful, happy, and healthy holiday. Recalling Atatürk’s words ‘The one who loves his country the most and does his duty best,’ Seçer said, ‘We are also striving to do our duty in the best way. We need people to work, and we are working. I believe that in 5 years, Toroslar will be in very different places, everyone will see that. Citizens who have not come to Mersin for a while say, ‘Mersin has changed, it has become a city, its streets are spotless. The roads, the coast have become very beautiful.’ The citizens already showed their satisfaction at the ballot box.’
Continuing his visits, Seçer went to the Soğucak neighborhood, where he visited the tradesmen and celebrated the holiday with the residents. Seçer greeted the citizens sitting in the coffeehouse and wished them ‘happy holidays.’ Meeting with the tradesmen in Ayvagediği plateau, Seçer noted that the water problem that has been experienced for years has been solved. Addressing the public, Seçer said, ‘While providing service here in Ayvagediği, we are not only serving Ayvagediği. We also serve the summer residents who come here from different districts of Mersin. Thanks to those who voted for us, and those who didn’t. We have adopted fair service as a principle. This is not about partisanship. This is about service, heart, and love. We will continue to work like this.’ Seçer added that they also built roads that do not belong to the Metropolitan Municipality.
‘We are aware of our duty and responsibility’ Finally, Seçer, who moved on to Gözne neighborhood, stated that they received a lot of votes from nationalist and conservative people in Mersin. Seçer stated that people voted for the services and said, ‘Your support is important to us. We are aware of our duty and responsibility. We are determined, resolute, and faithful. We love our homeland and our country. We follow Atatürk’s path. The work will continue in both the Metropolitan Municipality and Toroslar.’
