Kurban markets in Osmangazi have been cleaned

Osmangazi Municipality cleaned the sacrificial animal sales places in the district with construction equipment to make them suitable for daily life, due to the Feast of Sacrifice. During the Feast of Sacrifice, the teams of Osmangazi Municipality carried out intensive cleaning work to ensure the hygiene of the sacrificial animal cutting and sales points in the district, starting from the first day of the holiday, they began cleaning up the animal waste accumulated in the animal markets and cutting areas. The cleaning works have been carried out continuously since the first day of the holiday at the Veysel Karani and Geçit sacrificial animal markets by the 40-person team of Osmangazi Municipality Cleaning Affairs Directorate, sweeping up the animal waste every day, washing the areas with pressurized water, and disinfecting the market areas. The 40-person team affiliated with the Directorate of Municipal Works cleaned up the animal waste accumulated in the market areas with 10 trucks and 6 construction machines. With the cleaning works starting in the sacrificial animal markets from the last day of the holiday, these points will be made suitable for daily life. Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın stated that the works have been carried out uninterruptedly before and during the holiday to ensure that the citizens perform their sacrificial duties comfortably, ‘During the Feast of Sacrifice, our teams from the Cleaning, Veterinary, Municipal Police, and Municipal Works Directorates worked with hundreds of teams to ensure that our citizens have a peaceful holiday. Our teams removed the bad image created in the Veysel Karani and Geçit sacrificial animal sales areas and started the cleaning works. Both of our animal markets will be made suitable for daily life in the shortest time possible’.
