In Bayburt Design Skills Center, which consists of a total of 13 workshops including coding-software, robotics, 3D design, model aircraft-drone, foreign languages, brain games, music, painting, ceramics, woodworking, drama, astroSTEM, and recording studio, the talents of future scientists are being nurtured. Established approximately 3 years ago within the scope of the Social Development Support Program by the Northeast Anatolia Development Agency, students from all age groups and grades are conducting studies in workshops. Through various workshop activities, students not only have fun while learning but also develop their talents. The center accommodates students from kindergarten, primary school, middle school, and high school levels, where expert educators provide courses and training. In addition to hosting a book café, the center allows students to have reading hours and unwind in a quiet and peaceful environment. In the drama and brain games workshops, students spend enjoyable hours with creative activities, while also acquiring important knowledge in the aviation field through workshops such as robotics, coding, astroSTEM, and model aircraft, engaging in future-oriented work. Students from Şehit Nevzat Kaya Primary School, who visited the Design Skills Center, experienced different activities by participating in workshop sessions. They had the opportunity to explore all 12 workshops, took part in drama activities, brain games, and even sanded wings in the woodworking workshop for aircraft used in civil aviation. One student named Yusuf Talha Kocabey, who participated in workshop activities, expressed that he had a pleasant day with the activities. Another student named Neslihan Coşkun emphasized the necessity of having such workshops everywhere, stating that students have fun while learning in workshop activities and become aware of their talents. The coordinator of the Design Skills Center, Gülizar Akagündüz, stated that they work to make technology a part of daily life and turn it into production, saying, ‘In our center focused on science, art, culture, and life skills, we have a total of 13 workshops. In the digital technology age, the need for innovative qualified human resources is increasing. Acting with this understanding, we provide training and organize courses to support the cognitive, emotional, and intellectual development of our youth and children. In the new world order, critical thinking, questioning, problem-solving, and teamwork are important, so we work with our students here in a fun and enjoyable way. Among our goals is to make technology a part of daily life and turn it into production. In short, we can say that the talents, inventors, and scientists of the future are being nurtured here.’
