Talas Municipality has completed its preparations to ensure a peaceful and comfortable Eid al-Adha in the district shortly before the holiday. Prior to the holiday, Talas Municipality accelerated its efforts for general cleaning and environmental arrangements throughout the district, especially focusing on mosques and cemeteries. A comprehensive work was first carried out in the mosques before the holiday. Along with general cleaning in the mosques, measures were taken against viruses, carpets were washed, and every area from bookshelves to mihrabs was thoroughly cleaned. Pleasant scents were also sprayed in the mosques preparing for the holiday prayer. Meanwhile, dry grass in cemeteries across the district was cut, branches on the ground were collected, and general maintenance work inside the cemeteries was completed in preparation for the holiday visits. In addition to sweeping and washing vehicles in the district, a large number of equipment and personnel were used to carry out detailed cleaning tasks, preparing the district for the holiday. Streets and sidewalks were washed using special cleaning materials, and areas with dense wild grass, especially sidewalks, were sprayed with pesticides to rid them of weeds. Furthermore, dried grass, dry tree branches, and debris left by storms and winds were removed to eliminate visual pollution. Additionally, with a pressure washing and mini road sweeping vehicle, meticulous cleaning was carried out in narrow and small areas as well as recessed areas on the road. Moreover, municipal police teams have scheduled work shifts to ensure that citizens have a peaceful holiday. Talas residents can report their requests and complaints by calling 0352 437 00 55 if needed. Furthermore, designated areas with veterinarians for sacrificial slaughtering have been determined. Accordingly, residents can perform their sacrificial slaughters at Mevlana Neighborhood Tuesday Market, Yenidoğan Neighborhood Thursday Market, Sosyete Market behind Cemil Baba Cemetery, and Reşadiye Sacrifice Area. Sacrificial slaughtering will not be allowed in areas other than these locations.
