Protocol Supporting Industrial Zones by İşbank and OSBÜK

Türkiye İş Bankası, signed a protocol with the Upper Board of Organized Industrial Zones (OSBÜK) to contribute to the transformation of OSBs. At the beginning of this year, İş Bankası, which initiated the project ‘Twin Transformation Journey of 100 SMEs’ symbolizing digital and green transformation, announced that it will support firms in Organized Industrial Zones with appropriate interest rates and maturity conditions through the protocol signed with OSBÜK. The protocol includes many products and services of İş Bankası, from twin transformation investments for Organized Industrial Zones to export credits, tax payments, commercial credit cards, and letters of guarantee. ‘We are by the side of firms in OSBs to grow and transform their businesses’ said Sezgin Yılmaz, Deputy General Manager of İş Bankası, emphasizing that Organized Industrial Zones not only increase production, investment, and employment but also contribute to regional development. Yılmaz stated, ‘OSBs are one of the important driving forces for the sustainable development and industrialization of our country. Businesses operating in OSBs need to reduce their carbon footprint, implement technology-supported high value-added jobs, and increase their productivity and competitive capacity while exporting and opening up to the world. Based on this need, we have signed a protocol with OSBÜK to accelerate the twin transformation processes of SMEs in OSBs and to support their commercial activities. With the protocol, we aim to support green and digital transformation projects of businesses operating in OSBs and to provide contributions with our products and services in areas such as export credits, letters of guarantee, commercial credit cards, insurance, and tax payments. We will continue to support SMEs in their twin transformation processes.’ OSBÜK President Kütükcü: ‘OSBs are the productive power of Turkey’ Emphasizing that the organized industrial zones are the productive power of Turkey, OSBÜK President Memiş Kütükcü said, ‘Every support given to our OSBs actually serves the future of Turkey.’ Kütükcü stated that there are 403 OSBs in Turkey, providing direct employment to 2 million 600 thousand people in 67 thousand factories in OSBs, and added, ‘With the cooperation protocol we signed with İş Bankası, OSB industrialists can use Twin Transformation Loans at favorable costs for investments in increasing productivity, reducing costs, and green infrastructure among other topics. With this protocol, our OSB industrialists can also access credit on favorable terms for financing exports.’
