Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey stated that Bursaspor is the most important brand value of the city, saying, “The ‘We Are By Your Side’ campaign is progressing very well. By tomorrow evening, much different figures will be expressed as well. And the board will be unveiled. After the unveiling, Bursaspor’s period of resurgence will begin.” The June session of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Council was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Mustafa Bozbey. Expressing that Bursaspor’s ‘We Are By Your Side’ campaign is very meaningful, Mayor Mustafa Bozbey thanked the people of Bursa who showed great interest in the campaign. Congratulating Enes Çelik, who was elected to duty at Bursaspor, and the board of directors, Mayor Mustafa Bozbey expressed that they will be by the side of Bursaspor management not only physically but also in every aspect. Mayor Bozbey, emphasizing that Bursaspor is the most important brand value of Bursa, said, “Everyone born or raised in Bursa has a responsibility to support Bursaspor. We expect this responsibility from all of Bursa and the people of Bursa. The ‘We Are By Your Side’ campaign is progressing very well. By tomorrow evening, much different figures will be expressed as well. And the board will be unveiled. After the unveiling, Bursaspor’s period of resurgence will begin. We will all see together that Bursaspor has become more manageable. We will integrate as a city and attend every match of Bursaspor to support them. There is a short time left for Bursaspor to reach its former magnificent days in the Super League. We will make this happen. We will be by the side of the management. We expect one more effort from Bursaspor, Bursaspor supporters, and the people of Bursa in this regard. Everyone should support the ‘We Are By Your Side’ campaign to the best of their ability. We will enjoy watching the matches of Bursaspor, the most beautiful brand of Bursa. We will see it as a club that achieves success once again. I believe that we will go back to Europe by showing the performance we showed in 2010.” Mayor Bozbey also wished success to the Turkish National Football Team, which will compete in the European Championship. Congratulating the children, young people, and families who will experience the excitement of report card day tomorrow, Mayor Bozbey said that they invite all children to summer sports schools. Drawing attention to the increasing fires due to the warming weather, Mayor Bozbey urged the citizens to be more sensitive and not to light fires in forest areas. Reminding that Sunday is both Eid al-Adha and Father’s Day, Mayor Bozbey said, “I congratulate all fathers on their day. Our Eid al-Adha is also important. Our bus services to cemeteries will be free starting from the day before Eid al-Adha. At the same time, transportation will be completely free starting from Saturday evening and will continue for 4 days. The people of Bursa will be able to reach from one place to another very comfortably. I wish everyone a happy Eid al-Adha. I also want to address the citizens who will sacrifice animals on Eid al-Adha. We ask them to put the animal waste in black bags and deliver them to the municipalities. If the district municipalities do not take them, they should call the Metropolitan Municipality. We have made preparations for this in the Metropolitan Municipality. We will also collect the animal waste. We will take them to safe areas. We do not want to experience the negativities we have experienced before. I believe that our citizens will be sensitive about this. I wish everyone to have a good Eid al-Adha.” Answering a question about the Hamitler city landfill, Mayor Bozbey said, “There have been complaints due to the smell there. In fact, we knew that there would be a smell. The gas release processes that should have been done before were not performed. We have started the procedures now in order for the gas there not to cause a fire or explosion. We had to start. Because the risk is increasing day by day. We have taken initiatives for this. Our colleagues are working 24 hours. We plan to finish this in a short time. We will eliminate the problem.”
